My Name is Ray Long and I live in South Carolina. I have about 50 years (give or take) that I have walked on this patch of earth. I wanted a place to put some of my thoughts and experiences in the natural world. This seemed about as good as any. My brother and sister and I share about 150 acres of farm land in Newberry County which has been in our family for about 150 years (bought by our great great great grand father). Much of what I write of will be from there (my old home place) or here (my suburban home) in Greenville County.
